The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Dr Oburu Oginga, has today convened a Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting bringing together Members of Parliament and Senators to deliberate on the party’s recent work and current political stance.
The meeting, currently underway at Parliament Buildings aims to review the party’s accomplishments over the past two months and chart its position on key national and political issues.
Confirming the meeting upon arrival, Minority Leader in the National Assembly Junet Mohamed said the session would provide an opportunity for members to align on the party’s direction and communicate a unified message to the country.
“The members of parliament will be briefed on the party position and what the party has done for the last two months and what position the party has taken on certain issues, and then we will be able to speak to the country after that,” Junet stated.
The Suna East legislator added that the party would issue a formal communication on the deliberations following the meeting.
The gathering is expected to serve as a platform for ODM legislators to take stock of their activities, coordinate legislative priorities, and reinforce internal cohesion as Kenya moves closer to the 2027 general elections.
The meeting comes at a time of heightened political activity, with parties across the country recalibrating their strategies ahead of the next election cycle. In recent months, ODM has been actively engaged in discussions on national alliances, legislative agendas, and constituency engagement, seeking to balance grassroots mobilisation with its influence in Parliament.
As the political landscape continues to evolve, today’s meeting is seen as a critical step in reaffirming ODM’s unity and strategic focus in shaping Kenya’s political discourse in the months ahead.
