Hustler Fund to Mark First Anniversary as it Celebrates Key Milestones

Hustler Fund will mark its first anniversary on Thursday, 30 November 2023 with key notable milestones to celebrate.

Speaking today during the inspection of the preparations at the Green Park Terminus grounds in Nairobi, Simon Chelugui, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises  said that they have a great story to tell Kenyans with response to the project.

“Over Sh30, 000, 000, 000 have been borrowed for the past one year, reaching over 21 million  Kenyans. We also have around Sh2, 000, 000, 000 in savings from the users, ” he said.

He added that most borrowers are Kenyans aged between 18-35 years who also make  make up the majority of the country’s population.

Chelugui noted that they have inspiring stories from beneficiaries some of whom have borrowed repeatedly to boost their businesses.

He added that “One Kenyan has borrowed more than 1,300 times and done great investments. We have invited him and others to come and share their experience during the anniversary celebrations.”

The CS was accompanied by Susan Mang’eni, Principal Secretary, State Department for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development.
