Muslims all over the world are celebrating Eid-Ul-Adha, a festival of sacrifice that is among the most important ones on the Islamic calendar.
It is through this annual festival that Muslims remember Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son when he was ordered by God to do so.
The government, through the Kenya Gazette signed by Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki declared Monday, 17 June, 2024 a public holiday to mark Eid-Al-Adha.
Fafi Member of National Assembly Salah Yakub has sent a profound message of Eid Mubarak to the residents of his constituency and all Muslims around the world as they commemorate Eid-Al-Adha.

“As we celebrate Eid-Al-Adha, may this blessed occasion bring peace, joy, and prosperity to you and your families”, he said in a brief statement.
Eid-Ul-Adha is essentially the Muslim festival which marks the culmination of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, and commemoration of the sacrifice of Ibraham.
“Let us come together in the spirit of sacrifice and unity and may our bonds of community and faith grow stronger”, Mr Yakub said.
Hajj congregation brings together Muslims from all walks of life, including chief executive officers, entrepreneurs, engineers, doctors, teachers, politicians, the jobless, rich, poor, young, old, strong, weak, the Arabs, Europeans, Africans, Asians, White, and Coloureds, all alike.
The pilgrimage is a reflection of Islam in its purest form. Thus, Hajj is a profound reminder that all humans are born the same and they will die and go to the grave in the same way.

In the spirit of Eid, He encouraged those in society who are better placed to remember the less fortunate in the communities.
