Martin Ombura won this year’s February Mug and Ladies Medial mid week tournament played at the Nyali Golf & Country Club in Mombasa county.

He registered his victory this year after scoring 80 best cross.
The overall winner, playing off 11 handicap in the tournament, trounced a total of 95 golfers.
The tournament runners up award, under Division A category, went to Vimal Ranpura playing off 11 handicap after scoring 71 nett.
The third award in the category went to Vishnu Dhutia playing off 12 handicap after scoring 72 nett on count-back.
The ladies’ medal cross award went to veteran Christine Ockotch playing off 12 handicap after scoring 81 Gross.
The runners up award in the category was won by Susan Stokes playing off 10 handicap after scoring 76 nett on count-back.
Truphena Oyaro won the third award playing off 15 handicap after scoring 76 nett.
Meanwhile, at the Mombasa Sealink golf course, a total of over 200 golfers will take part during a two day tournament in honor of club captain George Mokaya. The tournament will double up as this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration.
Mokaya will be marking the completion of his one year tenure which has attracted club members, friends and golfers from outside the county. The tournament commences on Friday and ends on Lovers’ day.
