AFCON Final to air obn Startimes Media
With 51 matches played amongst 24 nations so far, the 33rd edition of Africa’s premier soccer competition the Africa Cup of Nations Africa Cup of Nations comes to an end on Sunday 6th February.
The final match pitting the most successful team in the competition’s history – Egypt who are up against a team that is yet to conquer the continent – Senegal despite enviable past and present talent is bound to grab the world’s attention as soccer fans look forward to epic battle of supremacy between the two African soccer powerhouses.
Epic battle of supremacy is expected between Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Egypt’s Mohammed Salah as the two Liverpool teammates seek to lead in the front towards the continents soccer glory. Kenyan football lovers are set to enjoy the live action at the comfort of their homes as pay television company StarTimes Media beams the final match live and in high definition.
The pay television platform has dedicated World Football (HD) as channel for the broadcast of Africa Cup of Nations final. The channel will have additional offerings including multi-language commentary in English, Kiswahili and French respectively as well as pre-match expert review and highlights of the road to the final for the two teams.
The broadcaster will also air the match on StarTimes mobile application – StarTimes ON, where soccer fans will be in a position to stream the AFCON Final on Standard Definition (SD), High Definition (HD) and Ultra High Definition (UHD).

At the onset of the competition, Senegal and Egypt were touted among the top prospects to take home the trophy. Senegal has in particular stood out in the tournament but now face the experienced Pharaohs where they have all to play for and own the bragging rights.
Having scored nine goals so far, Senegal has an impressive form going into the final match against Egypt who has struggled in front of goal though compensating at the opposite end of the pitch, where they have kept four clean sheets and conceded just twice so far in the tournament.
Beaten in two previous finals, the Lions of Teranga will look to clinch their first-ever title against an Egypt side who will be seeking to dominate the continent for a record-extending eighth time.
The match kicks off at 10pm on World Football channel.
