I am using Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) portal to demonstrate how forms 34As were interfered with at the Bomas of Kenya national tally centre in Nairobi.

This was a demonstration aired live during the proceedings at the supreme court where Azimio coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate who is Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua are challenging the declaration of Kenya Kwanza alliance Presidential candidate William Ruto as President elect.

Raila’s counsel Julie Soweto demonstrated how form 34As were interfered with at the IEBC portal.

She told the court their image has been tainted and called names while being accused of  using forged documents before the court.

“The demonstration is meant to clear the air over the accusation by the counsel opposing the petition,” she added.

The petitioners’ counsel emphasized on two separate schools at Kangema in Murang’a county by downloading the forms and urged the court to scrutinize the documents before  moving to another set.

Soweto demonstrated how an IEBC stamp was cross-stamped on other electoral body’s stamps.

She was showing how the figures were changed to favour Ruto arguing the figure of the votes cast for his client was 55 while it was 250 for Ruto.

“We sum up the total votes cast as 316 while according to the IEBC form in the portal the figure is 321 with rejected votes being 4.

The counsel told the court from the calculation there is a problem when looking at the total number of registered voters and the votes cast.
