Bungoma Farmers to get Tea factories in New Plan-Chengek

Mt.Elgon farmers will soon be smiling all the way to the bank as Bungoma Governor fronts the erection of Tea and Coffee factories in the region.

This was revealed to the area residents by Bonaventure Chengek acting CECM for Water,Tourism and Climate Bungoma County.

While addressing mouners at Kaptama on Saturday during the burial service of late Pastor David Ngeywa who was shot dead on 7th April in cold blood, the Minister condemned the act challenging security officers to bring perpetrators to book.

As he commiserated with the family of the late Pastor who unti his death was a long serving Pastor at KCRC Church Kaptama,Chengek mourned a close friend whom he said had a bright future that was rudely cut short.

While reminiscing his last moments with the late clergy, Chengek divulged that they had had very intimate talks with regards to Trade loans since David had a plan of expanding his business with a dream of creating more employment opportunities to the people around him especially the youth whom he really treasured.

On the other hand, Chengek stated that together with president William Ruto, governor Lusaka will be launching Tea factories at Kaberua and Kopsiro respectively in May.

The principal also mentioned that the completion of High Altitude Training Centre is underway and the facility will be fully fledged by the end of this year.

“Governor Lusaka has also sent his condolences to the family and has promised that in the upcoming Chief Officer nominations, he will give Kaptama and Kopsiro a slot each,” reiterated Chengek.
