Bungoma Governor Ranked Top In Service Delivery

The county government of Bungoma, under the leadership of Governor Kenneth Lusaka, has been ranked at the top for its exemplary service delivery to the citizens.

Bungoma County received a standing ovation for its outstanding performance in the implementation of service charters, good governance, response to complaints from the public, and enabling easy access to information.

Bungoma received the award during the fourth edition of the Huduma award ceremony, organized by the Commission of Administrative Justice (Office of the Ombudsman) at KICC, Nairobi, on Thursday.

The award was meant to reward outstanding public officers and institutions under the Public Service Delivery and Access to Information categories.

Launched in 2014, the award aims at rewarding public officers from different departments for their exemplary work in serving Kenyans.

The award was received by governor Kenneth Lusaka on an occasion that was graced by cabinet secretary for public service Moses Kuria and his tourism counterpart Alfred Mutua.

“This is not my sole achievement but a result of the collective efforts of men and women who tirelessly and diligently serve under my administration,” said Lusaka.

He reiterated, “I wholeheartedly thank the staff of Bungoma county for the continued efforts towards responding to the needs of our people and always attending to them with a human heart.This recognition and award is a constant reminder of what we as a people and as a county can achieve if we continuously work collaboratively.”

Bungoma scored an aggregate of 79 percent.
