Nairobi’s esteemed youth football powerhouse, Buruburu Soccer Academy (BSA), is gearing up for an exhilarating challenge as they ready themselves for the third edition of the Inua Talanta Championship, set to unfold at the Mombasa Sports Club this December.

Fresh from their stellar performance at the Rausha Kipaji football tournament in Nakuru this August, BSA is poised to make a lasting impression on the coastal city’s football scene during the tournament scheduled from December 9th to 11th, 2023.

Under the guidance of Director Dan Karani, the Eastlands-based academy has meticulously assembled teams in the Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, and Under 13 categories. The young athletes exude confidence following their baptism by fire at the Nakuru event, where their resilience was put to the test.

Director Dan Karani is optimistic, stating, “Our teams are primed for the Inua Talant Championships in Mombasa, and we anticipate a stellar performance. What sets this tournament apart is its affordability for teams, coupled with stringent measures to prevent age cheating—a prevailing concern in other competitions.”

Having gleaned valuable experience at the Nakuru event, the academy aims to provide its budding talents with an opportunity to showcase their skills in preparation for more significant challenges.

Kenn Okaka, Chairman of Buruburu Soccer Academy and a communications and PR strategist, underscored the academy’s commitment to continuous improvement. He remarked, “We don’t underestimate any opponent, but we have confidence in our coaches’ preparations. This tournament is a platform to showcase the resilience and talent of our players, fueled by their recent triumph in Nakuru.”

Okaka emphasized, “Our vision is to be the premier football academy in Kenya, nurturing, developing, showcasing, exposing, and commercializing football talent. We provide a reliable pathway for players to sign with professional teams and compete in leagues both locally and abroad.”

BSA places a premium on individual skill development and instilling a passion for football among its young players. The academy aims to offer real-time competition experiences, enabling children to gain exposure and a nuanced understanding of the game from an early age.

Nestled in Nairobi’s Eastlands area, Buruburu Soccer Academy welcomes children aged seven to nineteen. The academy takes pride in its well-trained and qualified youth coaches, holding certifications from the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and CAF, along with specialized training in child protection to ensure the well-being of its aspiring athletes
