Elachi To Officially Ditch Jubilee for ODM

Gender CAS Beatrice Elachi has announced that he will ditch Jubilee Party  for ODM in her quest to be the Dagoreti North legislator.

The Former Nairobi County Assembly Speaker lost narrowly to Simba Arati having vied on Jubilee Ticket in 2017.

Elachi being first ever female speaker to serve in the Nairobi City County Assembly, as well as the first ever female Majority Chief Whip to serve in the Senate of Kenya is set to face off with Nominated ODM MCA Mary Arivisa who has also expressed interest in the seat.

Already, politicians have aligned themselves in camps, with the majority leaning either towards Deputy President William Ruto or former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

It seems Elachi has finally made up her mind on which seat she will be vying for and her preferred presidential candidate in the fourth coming general elections to be held in August this year.

Elachi is yet to reveal whether she will resign as CAS on the 9th of February just one week away

According to the CAS, who was speaking on a local morning TV show, she will be contesting for Dagoreti North Constituency Parliamentary Seat through the ODM party led by Raila Odinga.

After word that the incumbent Mp Hon Simba Arati could be switching his political base to Kisii his home County, Elachi will be looking to drive on the ODM wave in the Constituency  to ascend to the National Assembly.

Arati in his Quest for the Kisii Gubernatorial seat will be facing off with several aspirants among them Deputy Governor  Joash Maangi and Kisii senator Prof Sam Ongeri.
