Aaaryan Khimasia emerged the only unseeded Kenyan to cruise through to the main draw of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) under 18 ranking tournament that enters day three at the Parklands sports club.

Khimasia was in his true element as he breezed 6-3,6-2 to make it in the events proper which is being used as a yardstick to amass international points. Matches which were set in the morning were pushed to the afternoon following a heavy downpour

However, the cancelation affected the tie pitting Kenya’s Raymond Odour and Ramon Labres from Spain that might be rescheduled to a later date.

It was a poor outing for four Kenyans who lost to their opponents.

Kenyans Ruhan Bhandari, Faith Urasa, Brian Nyakundi Odingo and Nyawira Olembo found the going tough on Monday morning by losing narrowly to their visitors.
Nyakundi lost 6-2,6-1 to India’s Rahul Lokesh in the singles category.

Faith Urasa from Kenya also went down 6-0,6-2 to Isheeta Midha from India while Uganda’s Saidi Musa Kato outclassed Kenya’s Ayush Bhandari 6-1,6-2 sets.
Stephane pordan from Luxemburg also registered a 7-6,6-1 demolition against Kenya’s Raheem Virani.

The two weeks tournament that has attracted 24 countries is sponsored by hosts Parklands Sports club, Xpedia Travels, MMS Advocates and Coca-Cola bottling company
