We will not recognize the formation of an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) with new commissioners for the 2027 general elections.

DAP Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka said the next electoral body to be formed will be a Kenya Kwanza affair and will not have a national outlook.

He said they expect to see an electoral body managing the polls to be above board which Kenyans will have confidence in.

“We shall not allow similar games played during the last polls to take place during the 2027 elections,” he said.

Eugene vowed to continue to fight for a proper process to form a credible electoral body to conduct free and fair polls.

He was speaking after paying a courtesy on Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir at the County Government office in Mombasa county.

The DAP Kenya party leader who was accompanied by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka told the media they won’t allow an electoral body with a hidden agenda to bring down strongholds of Azimio in the next polls.

On his part, the Wiper leader called for Azimio to strengthen unity and lauded the governor for opposing the government move to privatize port of Mombasa operations.
