Deputy President William Ruto has opened up his mind on a number of issues cutting across an array of political aspects.

Speaking to Kenyans through Radio Citizen, Ruto on Thursday said that he is ready to work with anyone bearing a vision like his; the vision of elevating the life of the common mwananchi.

He said that he is not limited as to who he can work with as 2022 general elections draw near, including the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who is apparently his political rival.

And while defending his hustler movement narrative, the DP said that this the movement whose ideology resonates with Kenyans most and he’s sure that they will definitely embrace it.

When asked whether he is still in the ruling party, William Ruto has stated categorically that since he was elected using Jubilee ticket, he is still in the government. He even highlighted some of the achievements of the government prior to the handshake between President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

He prides himself with the 140 technical colleges newly built and billions of money blown in for installing learning facilities. He has said that the impact of these colleges is so tremendous especially to those who miss University entry points.

He has also touched on the rural electrification programme that up to now has reached out 7.7 million families from the previous 2million families.

The 7500kilometer roads constructed and tarmacked thus boosting transportation network.

The DP has also told off those who were instigating the plot of kicking him out of the Jubilee party, saying that they’re the main enemies of development and just want to lead Kenyans astray.

He also differed with those forming parties and coalitions with the aim of counter facing him in the coming general elections. He said that he is focusing on forming a national party that will cater for each and every individual in the country unlike some other political leaders, who he did not mention, of forming tribal outfits in the name of political parties.

Ruto spoke with a clarity of thought that he outsmarts them all with his way of maneuvering through politics, claiming to have been in the field for years.

Ruto spoke shortly in the day before the inauguration of a coalition between Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper, Senator Gideon Moi of KANU, Moses Wetangula of FORD Kenya and Musalia Mudavadi of ANC.

According to the four, the coaltion, codenamed as One Kenya Alliance is set to solve the real challenges facing mwananchi and were convinced that it will win the coming general elections. They were speaking to members of the fourth estate at a Nairobi hotel.

“This coalition is still an integral wing of Jubilee,” said Mudavadi.

Like Ruto, Moses Wetangula also put it clear that the doors the newly formed coalition were open to anyone willing to walk with them in the journey.

“Our doors are opened to anyone willing to walk with us in solving problems facing the common citizen.” Wetangula said.

The four members of the coalition stated that they are standing in unity of purpose with Cleophas Malala, the recently ousted as the Senate Minority Deputy Whip, by a section of NASA Coalition Senators majorly drawn from ODM. The four political leaders said that they were ready to accommodate him and that he was still the Senator for Kakamega County, despite his ouster from the lucrative post in the Senate. .

Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka on his part expressed his disappointment with NASA for kicking out Malala who was in their midst during the media briefing, simply for being bold and courageous in speaking his mind.

The four vowed to tackle issues concerning mwananchi in joint unity.

Recently, politicians have seemingly come into coalitions so as to gather pace and momentum ahead of the 2022 elections to make sure they clinch victory.
