ICT Consultant Wins DTB Golf Tournament

An information and communications technology (ICT) consultant emerged overall winner during the inaugural Diamond Trust  Bank [DTB] golf tournament played at the Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa County.

Fahmy Bajaber beat 186 golfers after posting 44 points playing on 13 handicap  during the open tournament.

Fahmy, who is cousin to former club chairman Taib Taib Bajaber, bagged another award into his wardrobe when he scored 21 points on his first ninth hole before winding up with 23 points on his second ninth hole to emerge the overall winner.

The presentation of the awards, which was graced by the bank’s Sales Director Kennedy Nyakomitta, saw Dinesh Sasan win the men’s trophy.

Dinesh posted 41 points on count back playing on 13 handicap after scoring 17 points on the first ninth hole and 24 points on the second ninth hole before being declared winner in the category.

The men’s runners up award went to Tom Soigwa after posting 41 points playing on 22 handicap.

Soigwa scored 19 points on his first ninth hole and 22 points on his second ninth hole.

Janet Wasike won in the ladies inaugural DTB category after posting 41 points.

Playing on 32 handicap she scored 19 points on the first ninth hole and 22 points on the second ninth hole before being crowed winner.

Nyakomitta won the staff award after posting 30 points playing on 20 handicap after  scoring 17 points on the first ninth hole and 13 points on the second ninth hole.

Kenya Ports Authority [KPA] employee Terry Odoo won the guest trophy after posting 36 ponits playing on 15 handicap.
