Isiolo Professional Hails Dr. Ruto for Appointing Duale to Security Docket

A leading professional from Isiolo county has hailed President William Ruto for nominating Garissa Township MP Hon. Aden Duale as the Cabinet Secretary for Defence.
Dr Salad Sarite who spoke at a presser called by professionals drawn from the larger Northern Frontier held at Serena on Saturday applauded the president on his commitment to reward the region with one of the most sensitive dockets.
The legislator was named among 22 proposed ministerial nominees by President William Ruto who saw him fit to lead in that office.
“This is a clear indication that the region has found a special place in the president’s heart. It is like the president has devised a local solution for the local insecurity challenges which has bedeviled the region. Once confirmed as the substantive CS for defense, Hon Duale should roll up his sleeves and arrest the insecurity menace” he said.
Duale has been a staunch supporter and ally of the President over the years, an attribute that saw him appointed as the first Majority Leader of the Jubilee administration in 2013.
Dr. Sarite also implored upon His Excellency Dr Ruto to consider more professionals from the Northern Frontier in the upcoming senior executive positions including but not limited to Chief administrative Secretaries, Principal Secretaries,ambassadors parastatals heads and other state agencies which are likely to follow the cabinet and cabinet level appointments made last week.
Dr. Sarite’s call come at a time when the Ruto administration has received sharp criticisms by Azimio MPs and professionals from the region who also claim that cabinet’s share for the region is less than what president Uhuru comparatively handed the region during his term. Cabinet secretaries who served during his term include Hon John Munyes, Hon Ukur Yattani, Adan Mohamed and Dr Amina Mohamed. Dr Sarite, however, is optimistic that that this would be compensated with more appointments in the executive.
