Kakamega county to handle Juma’s funeral expenses
Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya has promised that his Government will settle funeral expenses for the ardent football fan Isaac Juma who was killed last week.
He noted that his administration will also clear school fees for Juma’s three children who are in secondary school.
“We will support the family of Juma to settle funeral expenses and also clear fees for his children,” said Dr Oparanya after meeting Juma’s family led by his wife Faridah Juma.
He regretted the death of Juma who was a staunch supporter of Harambee Star and AFC Leopards calling on investigative agencies to apprehend those involved in the incident.
“I have known Juma for a long time since I was an official for AFC Leopards. He could travel far places to cheer his team,” he said.
He said ODM leader Raila Odinga and Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui might attend the funeral ceremony.
