Kananu joins Raila,Kalonzo at Muranga burial ceremony

The Acting Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu was among key leader who graced the burial of the late Mama Nancy Muthoni Kibe, Mother to Joel Kibe, Chairman, CMC Holdings Ltd. in Kabati Kandara Sub County in Muranga.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper Party counterpart were also present at the ceremony.

Kananu described the 83 year old who was diagnosed with diabetes in 1994 and succumbed after a long battle with the disease on 28th July 2021 as a devoted christian who until her death was a member of St John’s ACK and Mother’s union. Mama Nancy Muthoni was also remembered for her efforts and struggles for Kenya’s independence by actively sourcing and taking food to the Mau Mau freedom fighters in Aberdares forest which led to her arrest and a four year jail term.

She was an astute farmer and supportive wife to her husband and a loving mother to her children and grandchildren.
