KCSE candidate shines despite being denied NG- CDF bursary by Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri
Residents in Bahati Constituency are still celebrating the remarkable performance of Anthony Njuguna Muhoro who defied all odds to grab a plain A in the 2021 KCSE exams.
Muhoro,19, emerged top in the constituency and was among the top performers across the country.
Muhoro’s story is a great inspiration to many students who’re still in school; he studied under hard circumstances due to school fees challenges but managed to brave the storm, registering remarkable results in the national exams.
He dropped from a national school (St Patrick Iten) to Kiamaina Secondary School in the interior parts of Bahati. His parents were almost giving up due to the recurring financial constraints.
This was after so many attempts to get bursary from Bahati NG- CDF failed.
On Saturday, the Bahati MP claimed to have helped the young boy achieve his dreams but some residents say Kimani’s intervention came in very late when Anthony was almost giving up.
” It’s funny to see him spend so much resources to do a roadshow in Bahati with the same boy he refused to assist when he needed him most,” Simon Ndirangu who is a resident said.
Bahari Constituency MP aspirant Irene Njoki who congragulated Anthony said she will prioritize allocation of bursary to all deserving students.
“Bahati is going to be a centre of excellence because of the investment we will channel to education programs,” she said.
