Kenyan Musician cum politician Samuel Sane has called upon citizens of goodwill to raise Kshs. 1.5 Million for his achalasia cardia treatment in India.

Mr. Sane developed cardiospasm 14 years ago, a rare condition causing failure of lower esophageal sphincter muscles to relax and allow food and drinks to get it into the stomach.

Speaking to our team, Sane said he eats with the help of liquids for the food to flow which has devastated his life.

“At times I’m forced to survive on liquids only to avoid the risk of dilating the esophagus and dysphagia. I have since visited various hospitals like St.Marys mission, PCEA Kikuyu and Tenwek Hospital and undergone different surgeries like laparoscopic Heller’s myotomy and Pneumatic Balloon Dilation which relieved the agony for some time,” Sane stated.

Due to recurrence of the condition, medical professions have recommended a more advanced procedure which will bring the condition to an end.

“The recommended procedure – Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM Surgery) is not locally available hence the need to seek medical attention in India. The doctors have further advised me to act with urgency for if the condition is left untreated, it could cause more complications or even trigger onset of other untreatable diseases. This is therefore my appeal to you for a monetary assistance towards raising the requisite funds to facilitate my travel, treatment and stay in India,” Samuel pleaded.
