Presidential aspirant Reuben Kigame has come out to express his disappointment following his disqualification from the presidential race by the IEBC.

Speaking during a press release, the presidential hopeful decried discrimination stating that the IEBC boss, Wafula Chebukati, treated him as a non-entity owing to the fact that his name had been omitted from the list of qualified and non-qualified candidates.

“They treat me as an accident, they treat persons with disability with disdain, it will not happen because we will not be silenced,” he stated

While pointing out the faults in the IEBC process, the presidential hopeful pledged to restore its functionality and hold the perpetrators accountable.

“We speak so that the citizens can get better government, the things that our oppressors, the things that our dictators failed to do, we shall do if you give us a chance, so help us, God,” he added.

Jimi Wanjigi who just like Kigame was locked out of the race over lack of a degree certificate among other reasons, said he believes the President is to blame for his woes.

“It is evident to all of us today that this is a government that decided at the beginning it is going to claw back what we envisaged as the gains of the 2010 Constitution,” Wanjigi said.
