Lake Victoria Fish Farmers Attribute Losses to Climate Change

The fishing Industry in Nyanza is facing a bleak future following reported mysterious death of fish stock that has been the main source of food and livelihood.

Most affected are the fish cages farmers in Lake victoria who are counting their losses
They have appealed to the Government and the local administration to intervene and save the situation.

Experts ave attributed the anomaly due to climate change and called upon the affected victims to remain calm as the situation will return back to normalcy.

Counties that have been affected include Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya, and Migori county where they are counting losses that goes to million of shillings.
