New-look elected Mombasa Golf club officials during the club longest 113th Annual General Meeting [AGM] held at the sea link on Monday evening. The new officials comprised of Joseph Kitema, Susan Mwangi and Sandra Githere among among others elected to serve the club as committee members for the next two years.

Mombasa Golf Club chairman Paul Munyao has been re- elected during the club’s longest 113th Annual General Meeting [AGM] held at the sea link on Monday evening in Mombasa county.

Munyao was re-elected unopposed for the second time to serve the members for the next two years.

The club vice chairman Lawrence Odhiambo was also re-elected unopposed to serve for the next two years.

Tea broker Francis Muthamia was elected unopposed as the new club captain as the incumbent James Gitonga declined to seek for his re-election.

The well-attended club meeting saw course Green Keeper Tirus Githaiga’s efforts to be elevated to the position of club vice captain thwarted after he lost to George Mokaya who garnered 51 votes against his 31 votes through secret ballot amid tension.
The new officials comprised of Joseph Kitema, Susan Mwangi and Sandra Githere among others elected to serve the club as committee members for the next two years.

In his acceptance speech Munyao congratulated those elected reminding them that they have a mandate to serve club members and asked them to put aside what took place during the election.
