My gov’t Will Invest in Education, Lusaka Assures Bungoma Residents

Bungoma County governor Kenneth Lusaka has announced that his Administration will be recruiting more ECDE teachers to revamp the education sector in the region.

While addressing the congregation at Lwandanyi Catholic Church, Lusaka emphasized on the need to recruit ECDE teachers and put up Model Centres that will see improved access to education and conducive learning for the  pre-primary learners.

Lusaka also re-affirmed his commitment to  fully support establishment of Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) across the county.

The  governor also revealed that he has allocated KSh 4 Million towards the construction of Lwandanyi health center.

Bungoma First Lady Dr. Margaret Makelo on her part, encouraged parents within the County to allow their teenage daughters aged 10-14 years to visit health facilities for HPV vaccination against Cervical Cancer.

With regards to administration,Lusaka revealed that village and ward administrators will be vetted afresh to attest their qualifications in the quest for transparency in his government.

“After thorough vetting, the administrators will enroll for further training at NYS but woe unto those who’ll be politically volatile for it’s a perilous thing especially during this political transition period,” cautioned the governor.

The County boss also donated 108 iron sheets and 100 bags of cement to aid the ongoing church construction.
