Ngilu Hits Out at Ruto Over Anger Issues

Kitui governor Charity Ngilu took Azimio campaigns to Mombasa county on the weekend to drum up support for its presidential candidate Raila Odinga  ahead of the general election.       

Her campaign meetings in the port city come barely a week before the coalition brigade led by Raila holds a mammoth rally in the county on on the home stretch to hunt for votes to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in this year’s polls.

She urged registered voters not to vote for Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition Presidential candidate, Deputy President William Ruto due to his lack of respect for the country’s Head of State as he has formed a habit of insulting him during his campaign rallies.

“Ruto is angry and looks so much annoyed to the extent of being mad against the handshake between President Kenyatta and  Raila which brought harmony in the country after the last polls,” she pointed out.  

Ngilu also at the same time drummed up support for Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir who is ODM Mombasa gubernatorial candidate to succeed incumbent Hassan Ali Joho in the forthcoming polls. She urged county electorate to vote “six piece” for ODM to form the county government without hiccups.

Speaking to Kitui residents residing in the coastal city at Ronald Ngala grounds in Mvita constituency she described Raila who is former Prime Minister as a true nationalist who deserves to succeed President Kenyatta when he exits from leadership at the end of his tenure this year.

She exuded confidence that Raila will be the country’s fifth Head of State with over 65 per cent of cast votes to succeed President Kenytta during next week’s polls.

“With a few days to the polls let us engage in vigorous door to door camapaigns to ensure Raila wins in the first round in the  August polls,” she urged said.

The outgoing governor who has declined to defend her seat and instead resolved to campaign for Raila pleaded with voters to ensure they sing Raila’s chorus wherever they are.

Ngilu reminded the forum Ruto is already on trial ahead of the polls and urged them to up their game in these last minutes and to intensify their campaign in favour of Raila’s  bid.     

She challenged Ruto to explain where he will get votes from to succeed President Kenyatta as the fifth Head of State.   

“Let’s be honest to each other that the handshake between President Kenyatta and Raila has led to the improvement of the road infrastructure in the entire country contrary to the belief of critics,” she pointed out.   

The governor scoffed at Ruto’s bid saying he has been displaying disrespect for the Head of State in public and urged voters to reject him.
