The first-ever Kikuyu Men’s Conference in the history of the Mount Kenya region is scheduled to take place on October 7, 2023, at the Kimorori Grounds in Kenol.
This landmark event is poised to be a watershed moment for the Kikuyu community, as it seeks to foster unity and candid discussions among its members.
Speaking to the media, the Council Patron, Billionaire, Dr. Thuo Mathenge shed light on the conference’s itinerary, revealing that it will span from the early morning hours until the evening.
Dr. Thuo Mathenge said that he is passionate about the Kikuyu community unity.
Thuo noted that this groundbreaking event promises to be a pivotal moment in the annals of the Kikuyu community, as it embarks on a journey towards unity and open dialogue among its members.
He noted that extended a heartfelt call to all Kikuyu men to come forward and actively participate in this pivotal conference.
“The Kikuyu Men’s Conference on October 7, 2023,at Kimorori ground represents a pivotal moment in the history of the Mount Kenya region, as it brings together a community in pursuit of common goals, guided by the vision,” he said.
He said that notable leaders are expected to attend the event; recently, he invited deputy president Rigathi Gachagua to the said event.
Thuo further acknowledged Gachagua as the senior most politicians in Mount Kenya region and urged him to lead and unite the community.
On Tuesday, December 20, 2023, a faction of the Kikuyu Council of Elders declared their support for Gachagua and his boss, President William Ruto.
