President Suluhu lays floral wreath at Mzee Jomo Kenyatta mausoleum

Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania on Tuesday laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Kenya’s Founding Father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi County.

President Suluhu is in Kenya for a two-day State Visit during which she is scheduled to address a joint sitting of the country’s Bicameral Parliament.

During the laying of the floral wreath at Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s Mausoleaum, President Suluhu was accompanied by amongst other dignitaries, Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Moses Cheboi and Nairobi Deputy Governor Anne Kananu.

DG Kananu was also among women leaders who joined Foreign Affairs Cabinet Amb Rachel Omamo in receiving President Suluhu at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Tuesday morning.

Suluhu earlier in the day held bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House Nairobi and addressed a joint press briefing after witnessing the signing of three bilateral agreements.

On Wednesday, President Suluhu is scheduled to address a bicameral parliament compromising of members from the Senate and the National Assembly.
