Almost 10,000 teachers will convene at Sheikh Sayed Children Welfare  Centre in Mombasa county for the Kenya Primary Schools Head Teachers Association [KEPSHA] conference which kicks off on Monday [tomorrow].

KEPSHA National Chairman Johnson Nzioka has said the forum is a culmination of various activities.

He added the conference is also a culmination of the association’s programs for this year with an aim to review the contribution for development of education in the country.

“This year’s forum’s theme is managing transition of competency based curriculum [CBC] for effective nurturing of each learners’ potential,’’ he pointed out.

Nzioka said the theme is in line with the ongoing reforms in the education sector in the country.

He was addressing journalists at Sheikh Zayed Children Welfare Centre in Nyali Constituency, Mombasa County.

The KEPSHA National Chairman said they expect President William Ruto to perform the official opening for the one week forum at the port of city.

Nzioka told journalists they have invited speakers who represent a wide range  of sector partners through their collaboration efforts to share experiences for mutual benefit of all.

He added eminent personalities will be presenting in panel discussions, symposiums and plenary on various topics.

“These included governance, parental engagement and  global positioning of Kenya through competitiveness,” he pointed out.
