ODM Leader Mr. Raila Odinga says the 2022 General Election campaigns should be issue-based and a platform to give hope and not to cause divisions among Kenyans.

He says at the moment, Kenyans and especially the youth feel disenfranchised and disenchanted as a result of unemployment and that there must be found mechanisms to create jobs and other opportunities for them to feel part of the nation building.

Speaking today at Chungwa House in Nairobi after receiving election campaign vehicles donated by Homeboys Entertainment in partnership with a Mombasa-based businessman Mr. Bernard Waore, Mr. Odinga urged Kenyans to continue adhering to Covid-19 containment measures put by the government to help stop the spread of the virus.

He said the election period will have a lot of human activity and coming during this time of the pandemic, it is important for everyone involved in the campaigns including members of the public to take the necessary precautions to avoid contracting the virus.

Director of Homeboys Entertainment Mr. Mike Rabar said the donation of the vehicles fully fitted with the state-of-the-art sound system will go a long way in boosting the audibility of his campaign as we enter into the electioneering period.

During the event, Mr. Odinga also received three thousand face masks, hand sanitizers, and protective gowns to be used by the party in the campaign. They were donated by businessman Dr. Samuel Oliech Omolo from Biopharm Technologies, manufacturers of sanitizers and medical equipment.

Tomorrow (Saturday 2nd October 2021), Mr. Odinga will be in Bungoma County for the funeral of the mother to ODM politician Mr. Moses Nandalwe in Sirisia Sub-County. On Monday (4th October 2021), he will be in Garissa town for the Azimio la Umoja Convention, the Northern-Kenya Edition.
