Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi has called on the government to release the supplementary fund in a bid to urgently address the looming drought in the region.

Mr Memusi noted that the current state of hunger has reached unbearable levels.

Memusi urged the government to use the money to buy food for the people at a time when the cost of living has skyrocketed.

Speaking in the area of Letoile Kajiado Central, Memusi pointed out that many people are starving and even students will not be able to open schools due to the current famine situation. Memusi spoke of this at one graduation ceremony.

With the election approaching, Memusi called on leaders to be on the front line to preach Peace as they hunt for votes ahead of the general election.

He reminded politicians that politics comes and goes but our nation will remain.
