The Chief Conservator of Forests Julius Kamau today paid a courtesy call on by the Kenya Volleyball Federation(KVF), Nairobi Branch Chairperson Mr. Moses Mbuthia, who is also the KVF’s Deputy Treasurer and Chair of Kenya’s Beach Volleyball Commission

During the meeting Moses lauded the performance of KFS in the recently concluded KVF National Men’s League where the team was among the top ten and clinched the 7th position overall.

Together they toured the KFS Karura Sports grounds to explore on possibilities of jointly establishing a beach volleyball court to be part of the sports infrastructure, for purposes of training as the federation intends to mainstream the sport in Kenya.

“As a Service, I conveyed our appreciation for the support and cooperation that KVF has extended to the KFS team during all fixtures where the team leads tree planting initiatives ahead of tournament kick-offs.

I also registered appreciation to the KFS Volleyball Team led by Team Manager Sgt. Gatuiria for their watershed performance in the National league and assured of our continued support to enhance the corporate image of the Service through the sport.”
