Tudor Ward MCA turns his area into X-mas mood

Mombasa Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Tudor ward Samir Baloo distributed gifts to pedestrians and motorists accompanied by “Father Christmas” along the Makupa Causeway.

Baloo who was voted  on a UDA ticket during the August polls spent his day wishing those using the route a Merry Christmas through distributing sweets and cakes.

The famous roundabout has been decorated courtesy of Mombasa Cement company.

Speaking during the  distribution of assorted gifts to passersby the area ward respestratitive said he was celebrating Christmas ahead of the weekend festivities.

Baloo applauded the county government for reinforcing security ahead of the x-mas celebrations which climaxes in the weekend.

He urged holidaymakers to feel welcome and to enjoy the good coastal city hospitality.

“Let me assure holidaymakers that their stay in the port city will be safe as there is no insecurity,” he pointed out.

The area MCA regretted that for the past three years the  world has been with COVID-19 pandemic making the annual celebrations impossible.

Baloo told journalists this year’s celebration will be celebration as required.

He added the reason of distributing the assorted items is to put a smile on the faces of the area residents.

“I have a program to distribute goodies to homes for orphans and the elderly in my ward,” he said.
