A Bishop Calls for Peace Ahead of August Polls

A Bishop has come out to preach peace ahead of the upcoming general elections. Julius Kithome of Prayer and Revival Fire Ministry says peace cannot be bought with money and that it’s the duty and responsibility of every leader to be an agent of peace.

“We wouldn’t wish a repeat of the 2007/8 post poll chaos. All we want is peace and cohesion for the unity and development of our great Nation Kenya.”

The highly respected man of God was quick to caution leaders not to preach hate, division or even acrimony. He urged them to tame their tongues because the tongue is a small organ but can cause havoc.

He said as the church they are planning to hold a prayer and fasting for the sake of peaceful polls and avoiding bloodshed at a time when the country is nearing the great decision.

Bishop Kithome added, “Let the aspirants know there is no seat for two people but one seat for one person at any given time. It is either one gets it or it goes to the other person .It is you get or loose. Give Kenyans peace,” the reputable cleric added.

The Bishop urged The church to maintain being the light/salt of the world even at this time of politics.
