Only 47 percent of Kenyans pay taxes this is according to Mwala Member of parliament Vincent kawaya, who has urged fellow legislators to be patient with the government due to late disbursement of constituency development fund

The youthful legislator has revealed out of the 2.2Trillion collected in revenues by the government,a total of 700 billion remain after paying debts,600 billion go to paying salaries and only 100billion remain with 373 billion expected to be disbursed to counties therefore no money remains for government development and the president strategy is not to borrow to finance government projects thefere legislators need to be patient as the president fix the mess in economy left by the previous regime.

Kawaya a third term member of parliament and only united democratic alliance Mp in machakos has called on azimio leader to go slow in his critic of the government saying he was part of the government that left the mess thus cannot Criticise the new regime and should just accept defeat and retired from politics.
