Awiti Bollo Pledges Markets in 6 Constituencies if Elected

I won’t forget my promise to improve the Kongowea Market during my tenure if elected.

Vibrant Democratic Party [VDP] leader and gubernatorial candidate Awiti Bollo said he has plans to construct markets in the six constituencies in Mombasa county to ease congestion at the famous wholesale market.  

He acknowledged the occupancy planning at the Kongowea Market is a set back.

“I will re-organize the allocation of stalls according to the demand at the facility if elected,” he said.

Awiti lashed out at the county government for failing the market stakeholders despite collecting a good revenue from the facility.

He was speaking during his mission to popularize his bid to succeed outgoing governor Hassan Ali Joho at the famous at Kongowea Market in Nyali constituency, Mombasa county. 

The VDP  gubernatorial candidate assured the traders when elected he will improve efficiency in operations at the market in the allocation of stalls to ensure satisfaction for all the traders.

Awiti who was accompanied by Independent candidate for the Nyali parliamentary seat Eric Gitonga told journalists apart from constructing markets in the six constituencies he will expand the existing wholesale market to meet the demands of the county residents.

Gitonga said when elected to succeed legislator Mohamed Ali alias Jicho Picho he will ensure the facility becomes a world class market to create employment opportunities.

He refuted claims he lacks ideas arguing he is prepared with knowledge and plans to change the livelihood of traders at the facility.

“If elected I will ensure the enhancement of security and my priority will be to allocate patrol cars to the local police station within a short time,” he pointed out.
