Jairus Atenya Seeking Comeback as Imara Daima MCA

Former Imara Daima Member of County Assembly (MCA) Jairus Atenya has received a boost in his quest to recapture the seat after endorsement from his constituents.

Atenya who is also a former Chairman in the docket of Planning, Lands Nairobi County has made a comeback and will be looking to take over from Kennedy Obuya who shifted base to seek for the MPs seat in Karachuonyo.

He will be betting on his previous track record to regain the seat having represented Imara Daima in 2007 and 2013 before losing it to Kennedy Obuya in the last election.

“Under my tenure roads were fixed from Imara Daima towards Bakita. Kobil and Mukuru Kwa Njenga have the best Road network that were done under European Union which I personally oversaw” said Atenya.

The former MCA who is vying as an Independent Candidate, was speaking during a meeting with members of the Teso and Kikuyu community residing in the area.

Atenya had earlier received endorsement from meeting Luos,Luhyas and Kamba Communities late last Month.

The Imara Daima locals assured him of their votes noting that Imara Daima will be Atenya’s seat to loose since he is well known.

During the session Atenya called on Larger Imara Daima voters to elect him for another term to continue with the development record he had set earlier.

“When we were with Irshad Sumra as MP and Nairobi Governor was Evans Kidero we managed to impact the lives of residents with EU projects that we jointly implemented,”added Atenya .

The aspiring MCA is famous for his shopping, mall, Containers as well V Club a popular Entertainment Joint hosted.
