B-Club reveals the sound-proof boldness after undertaking the necessary corrective measures as directed by National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA).
This follows the advisory by the court of law for Nairobi County to revoke its permits after Kilimani residents grumbled over loud music.
The residents also roped in rowdy revelers who reportedly exposed the children in the area to indecent acts.
‘Following the previous closure of B Club by the authorities, B Club has undertaken the necessary soundproofing and we hereby commit to Ref, NEMA/5/4/VOL.1 that we carry out operations in accordance with the provisions of Environmental Management and Coordination Act CAP 387 and the Environmental Management and Coordination Regulations, 2009.’ Said a representative of the management of the high-end establishment.
The management of the uptown club also says they also commit to undertake a noise survey within fourteen days as advised.
He further says that they also commit that the parking lot shall not be used for activities that use sound-amplifying devices,” read a letter addressed to NEMA.
The BConcenpt Limited representative disclosed that NEMA officials inspected the premises and were satisfied with the corrective measures they had wanted the premises to put in place adding that another inspection will follow in the future.
