Bandari team are in capital city for a tricky encounter

Bandari Football Club acting head coach Sheikh Twahir Muhiddin faces a litmus test when his team faces Kenya Commercial Bank football club this afternoon during a mid week league to be played at Moi International Sports Center Kasarani in Nairobi.

Both teams had a share of their disappointment after they were knocked out of this year’s FKF Cup quarter-finals stage played last weekend in Nairobi.

Twahir who is club’s Technical Director was appointed to take over from Anthony Kimani after he was shown the door hardly a year an four months.

According a signed statement by club Chief Executive Officer [CEO] Edward Oduor the board of trustees had arrived at the decision to relieve him of his duties.

Oduor said the decision by the club board of trustees came after thorough deliberations.      

He assured the club fans and stakeholders that the club remains steadfast in its commitment to achieving its goals and aspirations as a club.

“We appreciate your continued support and look forward to a successful future together,” he pointed out. 

The coastal based club was defeated by AFC Leopards 3-0 during an FKF Cup quarter-finals stage.

Bandari lost to Police FC 3-0 in a midweek league played at  their home venue.

KCB, who are in the fourth position of the league standing table out of 27 matches with 49 points, were also knocked out of the cup during quarter-finals stage by on form Tusker 2-0.

Bandari who are not in the league summit table but a match at hand are currently sixth position  with 40 points from 26 matches played.

During last year’s Valentine  month the famous Modo was appointed to take over from then Casa Mbungo from Rwanda who was also sacked under unclear circumstances while he  was at his duty.
