Civil society organizations under Concern-Citizen Kenya led by Bradley Ouna have organized a demonstration to present a petition to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Southern region coordinator for allegedly frustrating the business  community.
Bradley, who is in charge of corruption, malpractice, accountability and transparency, alleged they have received a lot of  complaints against the profiling department.
“We have notified the police of our intention and we have asked them to provide us with security,” he pointed out.
Bradley said the demonstration will commence from  the famous Tusks along Moi Avenue to KRA offices.
He was addressing journalists at the Little Theatre Club in Mombasa county.
The Civil society officer asked KRA Commissioner General to reshuffle employees working under the profile department to bring sanity.
Bradley, who was flanked by clearing agents and businessmen, told the media the profile department has allegedly been turned into a cash cow to frustrate the business community.
He added that officers at the department are  also frustrating clearing agents with lame excuses in the documentation process.
“The department targets importers of goods and cargo who are being frustrated at the clearing stage before the goods and cargo are released,” he pointed out.
