Sarova Stanley has made a name for itself as one of the best hotels in the Nairobi CBD with impeccable food and ambience.

It is the place to be however the last one year been a headache not only for journalists but guests as well. The hotel seems to have failed to handle security especially on the first floor who are often harassing guests and journalists for handouts.

Journalists who are generous to the security always get good treatment but low and behold if you don’t have ‘chai’ that day or you have not gotten the memo you will be constantly harassed or even denied access to where you are going inspite of showing your media badge or invitation.

Those journalists who don’t attend events at Sarova Stanley are the most gullible.

It seemed some journalists missed the memo when the trend began only to be told that if you want peace you have to part with something so next time you go to Sarova Stanley, you have your badge and invite ready but are still being harrased you missed the memo chai hujatoa.
