EACC raids Governor Waguru’s offices, home

Sleuths from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) have invaded Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru’s home today morning.
Waiguru was on June 9, 2020 impeached by Kirinyaga county Members of County Assembly (MCAs) who alleged she had been involved graft and abuse of office.
She was however saved by a Senate Special Committee which ruled that her alleged crimes did not meet the threshold for impeachment.
On Thursday morning, sections of the media reported that sleuths from the anti-graft agency had raided the governor’s home and office premises, with a view to obtaining evidence crucial to substantiation of the claims of graft levelled against her.
