Governor William Kabogo believes in able leadership. This clearly reflects in his decision to appoint a capable and diligent woman to deputize him in the Kiambu county gubernatorial race.

Esther Ndirangu is not your ordinary woman. She is an epic leader. A performer. Crème de la crème of Kiambu.

She is deputising Honorable William Kabogo. She was also the former County Executive Committee Member for Education, ICT, Culture and Social services. During her stint at the Executive, she heralded the establishment of Early Childhood Education centres. She spearheaded the Kiambu County Uji programme, over-saw the refurbishment of ECDE centres and the employment of over 1500 ECDE care givers. Due to her dedication, she was voted as the best performing County Executive Committee Member.

During the auspicious ceremony to name his running mate, His Excellency Governor William Kabogo said,

“After immense consultation and intense scrutiny, I have chosen Madam Esther Ndirangu as My Deputy Governor for Kiambu County under the Tujibebe Wakenya Party in the August, 9th. 2022 Gubernatorial elections. She is an experienced International Specialist trained in Geneva, Switzerland with a demonstrated history of working in the Educational Leadership and Management industry. She is skilled in Educational Assessment, monitoring and evaluation, Secondary Education, Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and Educational Technology among others.”

Esther has a Strong business development profession pursuing a PhD focused in Educational Research and Evaluation from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

The Times Online independently sought an interview with her.

“I’m a believer that what a man can do a woman can do and sometimes even better. I’m calling upon the people of Kiambu to make the wise decision on the 9th August.”

Governor Kabogo has proven beyond doubt to be a believer in youth empowerment through establishment of cottage industries and TVETs and fund programs aimed at economically and socially empowering the youth.

We can locally produce basic commodities in our county Kiambu through empowerment of the youth. Our vision was to fight drug abuse and alcoholism through implementation of various programs in the youth polytechnics such as welding, masonry, fashion & beauty, baking technology and building construction which would provide employment upon completing their studies.”

She says they are looking forward to continue with the good job they had started with His Excellency Kabogo which will take Kiambu County to great heights.

“Through digitized revenue collection, we used to collect close to Ksh 2.7 Bn which we were ploughing back to our county Kiambu. Our greatest focus will be job creation to make sure everyone is able to put food on the table and empower the great people of Kiambu.

In the words of Honorable William Kabogo: “We want a Kiambu county where every household has a decent meal on the table every evening and every man and woman has some money in the pocket either as an employee or a business person. Together we shall.”

Esther has also a bright vision for women in maternity through provision of basic necessities which she used to do.

We have an added advantage going by the experience we acquired and this is why nearly everyone in Kiambu is saying “Kaba Kabogo”.

As a God-fearing lady, she calls upon the leaders to exercise politics of maturity saying politics is not enemity.

“Kiambu is among the most peaceful Counties.  Let us all engage in peaceful campaigns.”

In the first 100 days, Madam Esther says they will prioritize and restore the glory of the health sector through provision of medicine and equipping health facilities. The second item of priority is digitisation of revenue collection to facilitate growth. We shall also revive and revamp our youth polytechnics so as to equip our youth with the necessary life skills.

From the desk of The Times Online, we wish the Honorable incoming Deputy Governor Esther Ndirangu the very best in her endeavours.
