He further challenged voters to gauge aspirants as per their proven records and not just the manifestos they showcase.

“I have a clean record and it is obvious by the name I was given ‘Waziri’ that many have tasted my fruits; I’ve so far distributed 8 pairs of jerseys to teams across all wards in Mt.Elgon and so far taken more than 8 girls and boys to Brazil and Turkey through volleyball,” Cheren revealed.

Also speaking in a different forum at Toiwondet – Kapkateny, the accountant come politician recalled that he tactically escaped the UDA party primaries trap by opting to be an independent candidate.

“Politics is a game of brains and calculations and I knew the nominations were going to be a charade just as it turned out,” Cheren acknowledged.

He on the other hand mentioned that he is confident of winning the hotly contested seat because as compared to his competitors he is beyond shadow of doubt a force to reckon with.

“Being the flag bearer of change in this constituency, I’m devoted to send Kapondi home but only if you come out in large masses and vote for me on August 9,”the principal reiterated.

Conclusively, Waziri promised to halt corruption during recruitment of military forces and stated he’ll personally be present at the venue where the process will be conducted to oversee a free and fair selection where not a single cent will be given or received by anyone.

“Besides following up on students who haven’t been awarded their KCSE certificates , I’ll insure university students get enough money to cater for their needs in the current economic state,” Cheren stated.
