Panic has gripped the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) fraternity in the country after the high court halted the much-publicized FKF Annual General Meeting (AGM) as a constitutional crisis is looming.

Extreme Sports founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hussein Mohammed led football stakeholders in raising a red flag.

He said the National Olympic Committee of Kenya’s [NOCK] Paul Tergat had made an initiative of bringing all football stakeholders to the table with an aim of finding a breakthrough to the impasse.

“This is a commendable step which was most highly welcomed by all well-meaning football administrators,” he pointed out.

Hussein said the top cream of the FKF boycotted the meeting despite deceitfully confirming to participate in the critical process.

He was addressing journalists after a closed-door meeting during a Kenya football stakeholders’ meeting held at a Nairobi hotel in Nairobi county.

The Extreme Sports CEO who was flanked by Kenya football stakeholders said in a statement read to the media the country is in the midst of a football crisis with national elections being overdue.

Hussein pointed out there are numerous court cases including the one halting the AGM proceedings to take place as scheduled.

“It is imperative to note that the terms of office of all elected delegates at branch level come to an end in mid-September,” he pointed out.

The Extreme Sports CEO added that with every passing day the possibility of having a free, fair and credible election gets slimmer.
