Former League of Women Voters SG Says Karua Deserved Position

Heaps of praises have continued to pour in for Martha Karua after Azimio Presidential Candidate the Rt Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga named her as the running mate.

One such leader who heaped praises on her is Honourable Catherine Nyamato.

Mrs Nyamato is the former secretary general at The League of Women Voters.

She said, “Martha was the right candidate for the job. She is experienced and forthright. She is not stained with corruption scandals, that’s why we have thrown our weight behind her.”

The former woman representative of Nyamira county is all smiles after seeing Martha Karua inching closer to victory.

“Martha is a great leader. A great motivator and above all she is an achiever. As the women of Kenya we are very happy and assure her of our support 100%, the vocal Mrs Nyamato added.

She is seeking another mandate to represent the people of Nyamira in the office of the Woman Representative.

In her heyday, she was among the few female firebrands who made women aware of their social rights, much to the chagrin of men.

She wants to represent women and youth interests in the National Assembly as Woman Rep for Nyamira County.
