Unknown people used car tyres to set aflame the Francis Atwoli Road sign.

The Dik dik Road was renamed after the COTU secretary General last month by the Nairobi Deputy governor, Ann Kananu.

A section of the Nairobi county Assembly Members had opposed it saying Kananu did not follow the right procedure in doing so.

It appears the road sign was burnt on Monday night as during the day it was there.

Two weeks ago, the road signage which had been brought down by unknown people was reinstalled by City Hall workers.

A section of Kenyans on social media said that Atwoli had not done anything for the workers for a road to be named after him.

Among them, Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi who had promised to foot legal expenses for Boniface Mwangi who had vowed to bring it down.

Mwangi said some young men had been employed to guard the sign
