After push and pull show on who to become Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader, new details have emerged how Governor Sakaja played abig role in ensuring who becomes the new majority leader in the county assembly.

Sources have Revealed to this publisher, that last week Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja held a high profile meeting in acity hotel along valley Road and spent 25M just to ensure South c mca Khalif Abbas fails to clinch the Majority seat position.

According to an Mca privy to the meeting, said that Sakaja seen as luhya Governor was not comfortable working with Abbas but rather with an Mca from Western region who is Makongeni Ward rep Peter Imwatok.

Sakaja, it’s believed he feared working with Abbas since he needed someone he can easily compromise over some political wars as he kick start his five years political journey at cityhall.

“Sakaja himself spent 25 million to ensure that Imwatok becomes Majority Leader,he fears Abbas ,because Abbas is someone who has his own money,so to compromise him is difficult unlike Imwatok, though he was the best person to take up that office,” the MCA said .

The Mcas are currently in Mombasa for five days induction, and are expected back in Nairobi over this weekend.

Sakaja will also address the first sitting session next week on Tuesday.
