In a video that has since gone viral, Murang’a Senator Irungu Kangata was captured on Sunday literally running to attend a church function that was being graced by Deputy President William Ruto.

The church function that was taking place in Kangata’s Muranga County backyard was almost over and he explains that it was the reason he ran to be their in time before speeches were over.

The run caught his security guards off-guard who were seen struggling to catch up with the youthful Senator.

‘Ignore the propaganda.I came to DP’s  function very late .Found the entrance blocked by vehicles. I alighted and run past the blocking vehicles towards the church as the speeches were almost done.’ The vocal senator wrote on his social media platform on Monday.

Kang’ata was recently kicked out as the Jubilee Party’s Chief Whip in the Senate after he wrote a sensational letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta citing that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) drive was unpopular in Mt Kenya region.

Political pundits also opine that he was a Tanga Tanga mole in Jubilee hence his removal from the powerful position in the Senate just over 10 months of taking over from Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika who was bundled out of the same for being a Ruto supporter.
