The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in Nyali constituency has  failed the acid test to conduct a credible election in the just concluded general election.

ODM parliamentary loser Said Abdalla ‘Saido’ who does not see eye to eye with incumbent Mohamed Ali alias Jicho Pevu faulted the  electoral body  for carrying out a sham electoral exercise.

He pointed an accusing finger at the IEBC for failing in its mandate to conduct free and fair polls.

“To make matters worse the electoral body carried out  the sham polls at the expense of taxpayers,” he pointed out.

He was speaking during a media briefing held at the Swahili beach apartments in Nyali constituency, Mombasa county.  Saido has declined to concede defeat in the just concluded parliamentary contest in Nyali.

The ODM candidate said there was no need to have an election whose results were already predetermined.

Saido vowed not to concede defeat arguing that the exercise was not free and fair as it was conducted to favor the incumbent.

He scoffed at the electoral body for subjecting them to an election process whose outcome was already determined.”They would have just gone to his residence to hand over his certificate rather than wasting our time in following the electoral process which had a hidden agenda,” he added.

The loser dismissed claims the just concluded parliamentary election in the constituency was  above board  arguing the exercise was just a mere formality.

Saido challenged the IEBC to explain how the incumbent garnered such an overwhelming number of votes despite the low turn out.
