Ismail Mohamed alias China is an has pledged to the residents of Eastleigh that he will sort out the stalemate between traders and County Askaris.

Ismael an independent candidate vying for the Eastleigh North ward seat revealed to The Times that he is going to work with government agencies to strengthen the nyumba kumi and offer better environment for traders.

“Given a chance by my people of Eastleigh North, I will address issues of environment whereby I will focus on garbage collection, improvement of the drainage and improvement of the sewer system. I will also make sure by-laws are enforced in a bid to curb the perennial traffic jam problems.”

Eastleigh is a business hub. Mr Ismail says he will focus on beefing up security because there has been issues of insecurity due to high levels of unemployment especially among the youths.

“I will also collaborate and work as a team with the business community, the law enforcement agencies and indeed the nyumba kumi”

The former constituency manager at the office of the Member of Parliament Yusuf Hassan also decried the issue of traders being perennially harassed by the City askaris.

He said he is going to liaise with the relevant agencies to make sure the traders are allocated a nice place to operate from.

On the education pillar, he says he will ensure transparency in disbursement of bursaries and also improve parents and teachers rapport.
