Karen Ward aspiring Member of the County Assembly Johnson Oduk has urged voters to exercise caution and elect leaders who will take care of their interests.

Oduk says some of the current MCAs lack leadership skills and have failed to initiate any development projects in their locality.

While drumming support to be elected he promised to prioritise education, security and infrastructure besides initiating programmes to empower young people to earn honest living.

“Some of these local politicians have for a long period been giving false promises to the electorates, which meant some traders lose hope and opt to seek other areas to run their businesses,”

The ward is ODM Raila Odinga’s ground and has always attracted a lot of interest.

Oduk is a business man in Nairobi and a vocal voice in matters NAIROBI politics.

He is widely traveled and has a passion for governance and leadership Affairs.

In his pledge he wants to help solve land grabbing issues in Karen, street lighting and water connectivity

Has promised to ensure equal distribution of Bursary cheques

He will be looking to unseat MCA David Njilithia Mberia who has served as Karen Ward MCA for two terms and he is seeking his third term.

The incumbent has however been forced to grapple with court cases.

The former Nairobi County Assembly Minority Leader’s seat was almost snatched away from him after  a court declined to suspend an order barring him from office after he was in found guilty in a Sh1.7 million corruption case.

An attempt in March to have the High Court set aside orders of the trial court, which barred him from holding public office, failed when the court directed that the judgment be served upon Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Benson Mutura.
